Robert H. Overbaugh M.D.
Dr. Robert Overbaugh received his B.Sc. in Biological Sciences, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame and received his Doctorate of Medicine from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed an Anesthesiology Residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio and a Pain Medicine Fellowship at Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining Tri-City, Dr. Overbaugh served as the Chief of Pain Management for the New Mexico VA System and was responsible for coordinating Pain Management care for Veterans from New Mexico, West Texas, Arizona and Colorado. Prior to retiring froth the U.S. Army, Dr. Overbaugh served as both the Chief of Pain Management and the Director of Amputee Pain Management at Brooke Army Medical Center, the largest Military Medical Center in the world. Dr. Overbaugh has over 15 years of experience in the practice of Interventional Pain Management and is Board Certified in both Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
He has published a myriad of peer reviewed articles, abstracts and textbook chapters on topics in Pain Medicine and has held academic appointments at several prestigious institutions, including the University of New Mexico, the University of Texas Health Science Center and the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda. Dr. Overbaugh shares a unique interest in the management of pain syndromes associated with painful peripheral neuropathic pain syndromes.
His hobbies include motorcycling, marksmanship and spending time with his family.
